Fourteen cars with twenty-four members and two wannabe’s departed Ozark on October 17^th for our fall color cruise to Mountain View, Arkansas.  Our trip took us down Highway 65 to Marshall and then west on Highways 27 and 14 for a stop at Blanchard Springs Caverns, and then on to Mountain View for the evening.  The cool weather in the evening limited the number of local residents performing on the Mountain View Square but there were plenty of impromptu gatherings at our motel.  Sunday morning the sun shown bright and the day warmed for our return trip with a stop for lunch at Gaston’s Resort on the White River.  After lunch it was back on the road for the trip home with a ride across the White River on the Peel Ferry.  We thought that this might be a new experience for many of our members and was met with more than a little skepticism.  Betty and I wish to thank all the members who joined us on this trip, as it is our friendship with the members that make any outing worthwhile!
