Celebration Cruises charter boat with fireworks

God must have smiled down on our Corvettes Saturday.  What a glorious day we had!

Fourteen Corvettes left Furniture Row following Dave & Cindy H. to Camdenton Middle School where they were met and led by our hosts,  Mike & Janell to The Kirkwood Lodge and the Celebration Cruise.

Our Vintage Vettes were met and mixed with members from the Lake of the Ozarks Club for a beautiful day on the Lake of the Ozarks.  The trees were starting to turn, but they were not in full color yet; however, the weather was perfect.

Lunch was served and provided by Bandana’s Bar-B-Q, and it was more than we could eat. We spent the rest of the cruise going inside and outside to enjoy the ride and the view.

It was fun getting to know and visit with the Lake Club members on the boat.

We then took an hour’s cruise in our Corvettes following “the tiger tail” (Mizzou did win) around the lake area crossing three bridges and ending up (you guessed it) at the Outlet Mall.  Go Figure!!!  We rushed to Harry and David’s for a free cup of coffee and a piece of candy (dessert) while the guys “guarded” their cars.  The biggest purchase was by Cindy H., and Dave was very proud of it.  (see picture below).  Of course, Joan S. wanted a pair of shoes, so she bought two because it was such a deal!!!

After shopping we drove to J.B. Hooks for dinner and a beautiful sunset.

We thought about, talked about, and wished you a speedy recovery, Betty.  (We talked about you, too, Darrel)

It was a great day in the Ozarks!

Thanks to Cindy H & Janell J for the wonderful photos!!
