NOVEMBER 18, 2006 - CLUB BUSINESS MEETING

FREMONT HILLS COUNTRY CLUB

 

 

There were 49 members present for this very important meeting.  The evening started with a social hours from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.  By 6 p.m., we were all seated, ordering our meal.  While waiting for the food, Vice President Jim Cohen in the absence of President Lyle Tyson started the meeting off early, as there were several issues to be discussed and voted upon.

*    Jim Cohen proposed that we form a Welcome Party starting in January.  Members Karen C. and Joan S. volunteered for this committee.

*    Mike Salmon was voted and reinstated as the club 2007 Corvette Museum Ambassador

*    A vote passed to keep the current By-Laws as they stand today with no revisions to the same.

*    The Club decided by vote that the Club would continue to sponsor the Eureka Springs Corvette Weekend Road Tour

*    It was voted on and approved the Club would appoint in the January meeting, a committee of three members to represent our Club as a   Board Member of the Eureka Springs Corvette Weekend.  They will send out a mailing to other clubs that participate in the sponsoring of other such weekend events there, to take a poll to get an idea of what other routes they would like to take, as well as other things they would like to do on the road tour

*    Terms of Offices were discussed.  It was determined that the term of Treasurer is to remain 2 years with no limitation by vote of the majority
