Vettes in the Midwest Corvette Weekend

This is their very first show....they were expecting around 40 cars, but said they got 200!!!! They handled the increase of cars very well...did a great job with their show, especially since it was their first. Dean & Audrey K WON FIRST PLACE with their 1998 Indy Pace Car ~ They were totally thrilled! Darrel & Betty S WON SECOND PLACE with their 1966



After the show, we all caravanned to the four states (MO, OK, KS and AR), went to the MAGNIFICENT Coleman Theatre in Miami, OK. It is a 77 year old masterpiece of theater architecture on Route 66. Built in 1929, Bing Crosby was there along with numerous other entertainers. The theater became in disrepair in the 50's, and has been in the refurbishing mode since, bringing it back to original. The organ (pipes hidden behind curtains), the HUGE chandelier, and imposing lobby & staircase (photos below)... it was awesome but even more awesome were the stories behind it....EVERYONE WAS SO IMPRESSED!!!!
